Windows 10 or 11. WebView2 comes with Windows 11 and with updated Windows 10.

It tells you when there is a newer one

Ventic asks GitHub once at startup whether a newer release exists and puts a badge in the toolbar. Settings → About has the release notes and the button.

Updates are verified before they install

Every bundle is checked against a signing key built into the app, so anything not produced by the release workflow is refused. Packages installed by apt, dnf or the AUR are left to your package manager instead of being overwritten.

Your library survives an update

Watch state, favourites and settings live in the webview's own storage, which an install does not touch. Settings → Account can still write a backup file first.

Rather build it yourself?

Bun, the Rust toolchain and one command. The README walks through every target, including the Android and cross-compiled Windows builds.
